Bonnie J. Skinner is a Registered Psychotherapist and Certified Canadian Counsellor. Having developed her career in community based mental health across Canada, Bonnie now owns and operates a practice in Sault Ste Marie, Ontario where she helps individuals, couples , families and organizations overcome obstacles to their chosen goals.

With proven expertise in high demand & evidence based interventions including Cognitive Behavioral and Trauma Informed therapies, Bonnie’s primary goal is to ensure her clients get the knowledge professional support they need to make positive lasting change their lives.
Amy Shaw
MSW, RSW
Amy Shaw is a Registered Social Worker with a Master’s of Social Work and a B.A in Gerontology.
Amy began her professional practice specializing in dementia services, behaviour support, and geriatrics. She has since broadened her scope of practice and now has experience working with individuals in all stages of life including family, group, and couples. Amy uses cognitive behavioural therapy, internal family systems, solution focused therapy, supportive counselling, and trauma informed practices in her clinical approach.
She has worked extensively with diverse cultural groups and prides herself in her culturally competent approach to practice. Amy is a passionate social justice advocate and works to create a therapeutic environment that is open, empathetic, and encouraging to all who attend.

Melissa Edwards
MSW, RSW
Melissa Edwards is a Registered Social Worker with a Masters in Social Work and a Bachelor's in Psychology.
Melissa began her career in various settings including research and counselling capacities treating and providing support to individuals, couples and in group settings. She has built on that experience and now works with individuals with disabilities, brain injuries, neurodivergence and those dealing with grief and loss.
Melissa values transparency in the therapeutic process and works to create a collaborative environment with her clients. She predominantly utilizes cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), solution focused therapy, acceptance & commitment therapy, and trauma informed therapy.
She fosters a safe environment for clients from all backgrounds, supporting individuals from the 2SLGBTQ+ community from a place of lived experience and promotes identity exploration. She approaches diversity with an anti-oppressive framework and a place of shared humanity.

Rev. Rick Grundy
MDiv, RP
Rick is a Registered Psychotherapist, and an ordained minister. He has been counselling and pastoring since 1995. He works with individuals, teens, young adults, couples, & families.
​
He’s earned a BRE and an MDiv in Clinical Counselling from Tyndale University. His CBT Training comes from the Beck Institute, and he received Gottman Method training directly from the Gottman Institute. He is registered with the CRPO, and is a member of: AAMFT, OAMFT, and CACFT as a Marriage and Family Therapist. Rick has completed coaching training through Coaching Canada. He provides support to couples and families that include family members with BPD, ASD, & ADHD.

Rick utilizes the Gottman Method & Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) when working with couples for improved communication and to address issues such as infidelity, trust-building, premarital preparation, conflict resolution, parenting concerns, and guiding couples away from divorce with empathy & understanding.

Rick is ordained with both the Alliance Canada and the PAOC. He can include a faith-based approach, help with spiritual direction, and can seamlessly integrate spirituality in session, upon request.
